No of Folios:1 marbled matches pastedown + 1 paper same new date + 1 paper flyleaf older but not original (foliated '1' but blank except label attached to recto) + 2-90 paper and parchment mixed + 1 paper flyleaf not original matches the one at front + 1 paper same date as marbled + 1 marbled
Pagination:Foliated modern pencil, upper outer corners recto, 1-90; from f8 onwards another set of foliation by older hand in ink, in lower outer corners recto, not counting the front flyleaf with label pasted to it so f8 is numbered by this older system '7', and so continues, 7-89.
Quiring:12s with outer bifolium parchment and rest paper.
Signatures:Signatures in lower outer corners recto first 6 leaves each quire, lower case letter followed by roman numerals i to vj, beginning 'a j' on f2, 'b j' on f14, through 'h vj' on f85.
Catchwords:By the scribe, plain black ink of text, lower corner crossing over right frame line; no embellishment.
Page Size:206 x 144 attached to stubs, one folio to a stub except at centre bifolia where the bifolium attached to a single stub.
Frame:A simple square extending to corners, top line of frame is minim height of top line writing; not ruled within.
Writing Space:148 x 90 (ruled for; lines average c. 80)
Incipits and Explicits:Label on f1; hand A comes in at end with 'Here endith the uertuous doctryne of / Hoccleue vp on the rewle off Prynces' right after end of text in Hand B's writing on f90.
Marginal Headings:Parchment label (from earlier flyleaf or cover?) pasted onto f1r, written in much later hand (17th-18th??) Hoccleue of the Governance of Princes in English Meter Manuscr.'
Flourished Initials:Spaces left for 2-line initials at beginning (f2) and start of subsections, but never filled in; no coloured ink at all
Other Names (not owners):On f2 at top, 'Codex michi Saunder & amicorum qui continet in se folia 89
'Lumley' bottom folio 2; folio 90v bottom 'Iste liber constat John Treglysty [?unserycer?], and 'Connstat John Treglysty' twice more above this.
