Incipits and Explicits:Explicit after first book. Thereafter the note for the explicit occurs in the margin. Another sign of unfinished work.
Marginal Headings:Some small marginal names of characters in ink of text and hand of scribe. Possibly markers for eventual conversion to proper glosses.
Flourished Initials:Space left for initials with small guide letter. No initials executed.
Other Names (not owners):On original flyleaf i are the names 'Anne Norres', 'Anne Nevell' and 'Rychard Herber'. For several other names and connections see Seymour I. 70-71.

Further Information:In the space where the first 5-line initial should be on f1r is the following 'Part of Chaucer it is printed in Chauceris works at London by John Kingston (?) for John W(r)yght dwelling in Paules churchyarde Ao Dni 1561 folio 151B'. In right corner of first folio is Petri Le Neve Norroy. The manuscript is unfinished and there is a note on the last folio in 18th century hand 'This ends at l686 of the 4th Book'.
