Other Names (not owners):Bookplate of Sir William Horton, Bart. of Chaderton inside front cover, signature Walter Stonehouse, prest. top margin page 1; the flyleaves at back, 2 folios of glossed text of Ezechiel, have name on first of these, 'Master John Denman esquyer / oweth this boucke god grant / hyme longe lyff with muche / encrease off wyrshype' in 16th c. hand. Grattan notes that this shows signs of having been the front flyleaf originally.
Miscellaneous Info:Text is A/C splice. This manuscript has a close textual affiliation with Cambridge, Trinity College R.3.14. On the lower half of page 202, in 17th c. hand: 'John Stow in his Annals says Orial College in Oxford was founded, Anno Dom: 1333 (i) Anno 16 Reg: Ed. 2. And after, an An. 16. Ed. 3: This yeare John Maluerne fellow of Orial College in Oxford, finished his Visions of Peires Plowman. (i) 19 yeirs after. 1342. / Bale calls the authour Robert Langland: & knows not whithir he studied at either Universitie, but says he endid this worke Anno. Dom: 1369. (that is An. 43, of Edw. 3.) Vid. Balaeum Cent. 6 [section] 37. pag. 474.' In sixteenth century connected with Oxford or Oxfordshire text: A Prologue to XI.313, followed by C text for remainder of poem
