Pagination:Modern pencil in upper outer corners recto, 1-34.
Quiring:Verse in a single quire of 10 leaves, takes up first 9 leaves of it.
Catchwords:None in Confessio, but in main prose text, one by scribe in a red box.
Page Size:280 x 195
Frame:In verse, rectangle to edges of page and ruled within, all in brownish lines, some very fine and others wider, possibly plummet; some do not show at all, now invisible; no pricking.
Writing Space:verse 202 x c. 70 though ruled for 202 x 139
Title by Scribe:On f1, (prose text), rubric 'Here bigynneth þe Sege of Thebes', none for verse, but first line, including 'Venus' name is written larger and more bold than others.
Flourished Initials:For the verse, plain 2-line red initials and red touching on initials of each line; other booklet similar level of decoration, but begins with a 3-line blue initial with red flourishing and has a rubric title.
