Usage: may
single compartment 'a' used most of the time. However, there are variations, as may be seen in version 4.
Usage: countenaunce
a square-shaped lobe for this 'a'.
Usage: After
upper case letter at the beginning of aline.
Usage: all armed
the scribe occasionally slips in a double compartment 'a'.

Usage: devise
rounded looped 'd'.
Usage: thrid
'd' in final position with long descending tag.
Usage: mynde
'd' with lower lobe of slightly different shape.

the loop of 'd' sometimes extends back over previous graphs.

double compartment 'g' used throughout. The lower compartment is sometimes triangular in shape.

'g' is basically 8-shaped but the lower compartment is sometimes set at a slope.

'g' with the addition of the abbreviative mark for a plural ending.

'h' with tall triangular head-loop and sweeping tail which curves round under the graph.

long 'r' is always used in initial position.

'z'-shaped 'r' is always used after vowels.

sigma 's' is used in initial and final positions.

long 's' is used initially and medially. The graph frequently slopes backwards slightly as does the 'f' graph.

'w' is looped and has the 'B'-shaped element to finish.

as with the first hand, the tail of 'y' is long, turning counter-clockwise and continuing beneath the following graphs.

the scribe has a tendency to slope the left arm of the letter backwards.

the first letter of a line and so could be considered an upper case graph which is exactly the same as the lower case example.
 
Thorn
Usage: þs
thorn plus a superscript letter or an abbreviative mark is used in the examples shown here. Thorn does not appear to be used in any other capacity on this folio.
