straight-sided double compartment 'a' with cross-bar between the compartments.

this is probably the 'w' graph which is most represented on the folios examined. The central limb has a hairline extension at the top which curls over to the right.

Y

'y' is often, though not always dotted. The tail-stroke often begins to curve counter-clockwise almost immediately after the fork.

Thorn

thorn is used quite frequently but the scribe also uses 'th'.
