Usage: was
straight-sided 'a' with horizontal cross-bar.
Usage: As
upper case 'A' at the beginning of a line.
Usage: aunsuerd
the top of 'a' sometimes appears open.
Usage: saugh
the bar through the middle of 'a' frequently joins to the next letter as in version 1.
 
D
Usage: seiden
a very angular lower lobe of 'd'.
Usage: savid
'd' in final position in a word frequently has a tag.

the scribe's graphs are evenly formed.

upper case 'D' at the beginning of a line.

Usage: generally
a comfortable shape for anglicana 'g' with the lower lobe completely resolved and missing the horizontal slash.

the scribe frequently curves the tail of 'h' clockwise under the letter then loops back to link with the following graph.

Usage: desiren
long 'r' used in every position apart from after 'o'. No other shape of 'r' is present on this folio.
Usage: for
'z'-shaped 'r' only used after 'o'. Again the otiose stroke from the lower left of the graph is thickly scribed.
    
 
S
Usage: voys
sigma 's' always used in final position.
Usage: saide
sigma 's' is also used in initial position as well as long 's'.
Usage: shrewe
with some letters, 'h' and 'b' for example, the scribe attaches long 's' to the middle of those letters at shoulder level. In other places the head-stroke of long 's' extends horizontally to link to the following graph, again at shoulder level.
Usage: Sou(er)aynte
this may be the scribe's upper case 'S'.
 
W
Usage: worthy
the scribe's 'w' is individual and may be used as an identifier for this hand. Although he varies the letter a little, this shape of 'w' is used consistently.
Usage: wymmen
'w' used in upper case position at the beginning of a line.
Usage: Wif
running title with strap-work.

Usage: youre
the scribe's 'y' is almost invariable.
