Signatures:No signatures but a modern hand has written a cross in lower outer corner recto of 6th leaf of each quire to mark second half.

Frame:Plain square with lines running to edge of page, not ruled except where larger headings appear, and then clearly ruled specially for those; plummet
Writing Space:160 x 100; lines c. 75-80 mm long
Incipits and Explicits:On f90v, below end of text, 'Explicit liber de principum Regimine' by scribe in his larger script used for headings throughout; and 'per Occleue' added below by 15-16 cc. hand; top f1 by this second hand of late 15-16 cc, ''The vertuouse doctrine of hoccleue vpon the rule of princes
glosses by this hand or possibly several hands of late 15th-16th c, including on f1 'De infortune s. Richard 2 kynge'.
Marginal Headings:In same ink and hand as text but different script, larger, bolder, Anglicana formata though with secretary letter forms, more upright and more spikey, whereas text is much smaller, more slanted, secretary.
Flourished Initials:Spaces left for larger initials but never filled in. No coloured ink at all.
Other Names (not owners):Owned by John Moore, Bishop of Ely (f. 1714) whose library was given to CUL in 1715 by George I. Seymour notes watermarks: 'y' surmounted by a cross as Briquet 9190; a pyx not in Briquet, a tete de boeuf with horns not curved at tips and surmounted by a star, not listed in Briquet.
Miscellaneous Info:Omits lines 4978-5012 on f86, Seymour says 'probably through the loss of one leaf (? With the Chaucer portrait) in the exemplar or its ancestor' ( p. 281).
