Usage: a
double compartment 'a' used throughout. The lower compartment is generally smaller than the upper one.

upper case 'A' at the beginning of a line.

'd' is looped and consistent in appearance.

the loop of 'd' has more of a horizontal rather than a vertical aspect.

'g' is also consistently formed.

there is often an oblique otiose stroke from the lower left point of the lower compartment. It matches the angle of the otiose stroke from 'z'-shaped 'r' and the fine straight tails of 'y', 'h' and yogh.

'g' in final position is often tagged with a vertical descender from the horizontal dash.

the head of 'h' is sometimes open but more often has a triangular looped head. The tail is often fine and straight and descends at an oblique angle from the limb-stroke which ends in line with the base of the stem.

the limbs of 'w' are straight with 'B'-shaped element to finish.

the left arm of 'y' descends vertically as far as the line. The right arm curves round to join the left and they meet just below the level of surrounding graphs.

thorn is used quite regularly in all positions.
