Catchwords:Lower margin beginning about half way but not extending to right frame line, more than half way down the lower margin, by scribe, in brown ink of text and without embellishment except on f64v underlined in red.

Frame:Ruled in grey plummet with a line space left between stanzas for Troilus and Criseyde; for Piers 4 x vertical with double lines enclosing the column of text as if to leave the space between text and gloss; 3 x horizontal enclosing top line and under bottom; ruled within, in fine grey lines (Dutschke says lead); pricking visible some outer edges, some bottoms and some tops.

Incipits and Explicits:No explicit, text just ends on f106v.
Marginal Headings:In the same ink as text, in spaces left between lines, written by scribe in more formal and slightly larger script, usual 'Passus quintus de ''.
Borders:On f1 bar border down left side and sprays across top and bottom margins, in 14th-century style in blue, pink and gold with white highlighting on blue and pink.
Illuminated Initials:On f1, 9-line gold initial on gold, blue, pink and white ground;
Paragraph Marks:Alternating red and blue paraphs with long tails, red underlining.
Flourished Initials:3- 4- and 5-line blue lombard initials with red penwork flourishing.
Other Names (not owners):'Dan Jhon redbery' 15th c. on f108; 16-17th c. owner John Russell, signs with monogram flourish on fol. i verso; for others see Dutschke 1.197.
