the shape of this graph varies little. The upper compartment sits just proud of preceding and following letters.

the lower lobe of looped 'd' frequently disports a small tag which gives a pointed look to the lower lobe.

all the scribe's 'w's are this same basic shape.

inclination to the left of both arms of 'w'. The 'B'-shaped element is to the right.

the scribe occasionally joins 'y' to the following letter, especially when the 'n' graph follows.

'Y' in initial position in the line. 'y' is rarely dotted and there is only one other example on this folio.
  
 
Thorn
Usage: forþ
thorn is used frequently in every position in a word. On this folio, the 'th' combination is used on three occasions which occur at the beginning of a line. Otherwise only on one other occasion is 'th' used within the text. Thorn is used at all other times.

Serrated Upper Case Letters
Usage: Toward
a peculiar serrated form of upper case 'T'. The scribe also uses an upper case version of 'T' with no serration. Hand 1 in this manuscript also used some graphs serrated at the left side.

again a serrated left side to this letter 'O'.
    
 
Yogh
Usage: þorouȝ
yogh used for 'gh' in this word. The same word is repeated on the same line and again the yogh is used. There are no other examples on this folio.
