Other Names (not owners): | See Seymour Vol. 1 p. 118 for lengthy description of possible ownership. From Seymour is the following: fii verso the name 'Walter' with Latin date for 31st December 1470 f150 the will of N of Pecham ff65 and 148v (Part 2) 'Thome Foluylle' and 'Foluylle fisician'. On fii 'Vindica te tibi' linking it to Sir Kenelm Digby (d. 1665) whose press-mark visible on edges of upper leaves when volume is closed; not listed in Digby Catalogue (MS. Digby 234); bought for the Library in 1658. |
Miscellaneous Info: | Hand 1 ff1-56 also wrote majority of Gg 4.27 CT and Missouri fragment. Obviously a lot missing from the front of this MS. Astrolabe is unfinished. No attempt to decorate. Small guide letters left at beginning of pieces for a flourished or illuminated initial never completed. |
